Michael Leak - Director & Principal Mining Engineer

Michael is a mining engineer with 23 years mining industry experience. At MDL Resources, Michael undertakes strategic direction assignments assisting clients improve business planning and processes, make decisions on projects (existing and potential acquisitions / divestments) and other strategic technical assessments (incl. Independent Experts and Competent Persons reports, Ore Reserve generation and reporting, mining studies, due diligence, audits, technical reviews and operational improvement projects).

Prior to this, Michael worked for AngloGold Ashanti as Senior Manager, Mine Planning. Michael was responsible for managing a team of mining professionals ensuring optimal performance of company assets in Africa. Michael has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) from the Western Australian School of Mines and a Western Australian First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.

Chris Hodgins - Senior Mining Engineer

Chris is a mining engineer with significant underground mining experience. Chris started his career undertaking practical underground operating time to give him a solid understanding of underground mining and to allow him to get his WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate. Prior to joining MDL Resources, Chris worked in site based production roles before taking a role to lead the underground operations team of a large mining consultancy during which time he assisted clients in the capacity of Alternate Underground Manager.

Chris has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) from the Western Australian School of Mines and a Western Australian First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency. At MDL Resources, Chris assists clients with site based roles as well as contributing to mining studies, mine design, mine planning and operational assistance projects.

Muji Sanjaadorj - Mining Consultant

Muji s a mining engineer with 6 years predominantly underground mining engineering experience. Prior to joining MDL Resources, Muji worked for a multinational mining company where he gained practical experience underground and then production engineering experience. Muji then worked for Aeris Resources as Senior Mining Engineer overseeing mine planning and mine production engineering activities at the Bentley Zinc / Copper underground mine.

At MDL Resources, Muji assists clients with underground mine design, mine planning and scheduling. Muji also assists with Independent Experts and Competent Persons reports, Ore Reserve generation and reporting, mining studies, due diligence, audits, technical reviews and operational improvement projects.

Drew Kirkpatrick - Mining Consultant

Drew started in mining as an underground  operator for three years working his way up from nipper, to chargeup operator before moving into a mining engineering role. Prior to joining MDL Resources, Drew worked as a production engineer for a polymetallic underground mine undertaking drill and blast design, weekly scheduling, projects and ventilation.

Drew has a Bachelor of Business (Finance & International Business) and is completing a Graduate Diploma of Mining. At MDL Resources, Drew assists clients with site secondments in production engineering roles as well as mine design for technical assignments.
